Experienced Barista Wanted - Supervisor Progression Opportunity in Portsmouth City Centre.
Monday-Friday, 07:30-15:30. Start Date: 30th March. Minimum 3-month contract (extension and permanent contract options are available). Weekly pay. Enhanced DBS + BPSS clearance required (or willingness to obtain).
We're seeking an experienced Barista to join our Portsmouth city centre team, with the opportunity to progress into a Supervisor role. This role is perfect for someone confident in operating an Italian coffee machine and comfortable in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
Role Responsibilities:
- Prepare high-quality drinks using a traditional Italian espresso machine.
- Serve customers professionally with a friendly attitude.
- Heat and serve paninis and simple hot food items.
- Maintain a clean, organised and welcoming café environment.
- Accept cashless payments.
- Support daily operations and workflow.
- Learn key supervisory duties, including opening and closing procedures, accepting deliveries, and task allocation.
Essential Requirements:
- Strong, proven experience as a Barista.
- Confident using a traditional Italian espresso machine.
- Ability to heat/prepare food.
- Reliable, punctual and customer-focused.
- Comfortable working in a cashless service environment.
- Able to work Monday-Friday, 07:30-15:30.
- Enhanced DBS issued within the last year.
- BPSS clearance (support available where needed).
- Available to start 30th March.
