Job Role - Newham, London - Chef Manager
Rate of pay - £16.95PH or Weekends (Term time only)
Key responsibilities:
- Manage a small team of Catering Assistants.
- Plan and prepare nutritionally balanced school meals.
- Maintain stock control and plan menus.
Successful candidates will have:
- Experience of providing a catering service in a similar environment.
- Relevant qualifications (City and Guilds or Equivalent).
- Level 3 in Food Hygiene and Level 2 Certificate in Health and Safety.
We are seeking candidates who can lead and motivate their team whilst retaining a passion for cooking. You will also need a sound knowledge of a wide range of cuisines and dietary requirements to cater for the diverse community we serve.
This role is term time only, based in a School setting and requires:
- Experience of providing a catering service in a similar environment.
- A proven ability to plan, prepare and deliver nutritionally balanced school meals.
- A sound knowledge of a wide range of cuisines in order to cater for a diverse school community with a range of dietary needs.
- A City and Guilds or equivalent catering qualification.
- A Level 3 Food Hygiene certificate and a level 2 Health and Safety Certificate.
- The ability to manage a team.
- The ability to impart knowledge and skills.
- The ability to develop strong client relationships and inspire confidence.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £16.69 per hour
