The predicted salary is between 30000 - 42000 £ per year.
This role will be responsible for ensuring the safe delivery of preventative planned maintenance and welding repair/fault response for all areas of the 'Green Tunnels' plant and surrounding areas. We are looking for a highly motivated, hardworking skilled MIG welder who has experience in industrial welding. We seek individuals who are adaptable, passionate, and committed to working with integrity. - Preferred experience in concrete/pre-cast sector, construction materials or construction sector generally, and/or specific experience in an environment with similar mechanical plant configuration.
- Ideally experience working within medium/heavy industrial industry.
- Good mechanical knowledge including hydraulic systems.
- Being able to work within a team or alone to fault find and able to use initiative to rectify faults.
- Experienced with carrying out planned maintenance and proactive with reporting faults.
- Flexible with working weekends when required.
- An open & willing to learn attitude & character.
Experience of:
- Basics in fitting & stripping of hydraulic & pneumatic equipment (beneficial).
- Using hand tools for precise operations.
Working hours are 5am - 2pm; however, could be required to start earlier on occasion. Must have experience. This is a temp position with potential for a permanent position.
Qualifications and training that are required and desirable:
- Ideally hold a recognised mechanical qualification & experience.
- Welding standards to BSEN ISO 9606-1 Single Sided Fillet Weld, Horizontal and vertical welds.
- Reasonable standard of secondary education.
- Reasonable standard of spoken and written English, demonstrable capability to read and understand notices and signage to ensure safe working.
- Minimum basic safety training.
- Overhead Crane Licence.
- MEWP 3a and 3b Licence.
- FLT Licence B1 & B2.
