?? HGV Mechanic Required – Join a Successful, Close-Knit Family-Run Team ??

My client is looking for an experienced and skilled HGV Mechanic to join their thriving, family-run business. This role is ideal for someone who can take a vehicle from start to finish – building a full HGV from the ground up, including gearbox rebuilds, electrical work, and bespoke part fabrication.

This is not a role for someone without hands-on, proven experience. They need someone confident, capable, and ready to add real value to a high-performing workshop.

?? Key Responsibilities:

• Complete full HGV builds from chassis to finish
• Rebuild and install gearboxes
• Work confidently from technical drawings
• Manufacture and fit bespoke, custom-made parts
• Carry out electrical work on HGVs
• Perform welding on aluminum and steel
• Maintain a safe and organised workshop environment

?? Essential Experience:

• Extensive HGV mechanical experience
• Ability to rebuild gearboxes independently
• Ability to read and work from technical drawings
• Experience welding aluminum and steel
• Experience creating or fitting custom components/parts
• Strong understanding of health & safety

? Desirable (Not Essential):

• Valid FLT license
• Additional electrical diagnostics experience

?? Hours & Benefits:

• Monday to Friday, 9am-4pm
• One week off every 12 weeks
• Christmas shutdown
• £13.00 per hour
