we are currently recruiting for a fantastic permanent Sous Chef position in Blyth, working within a busy contract catering unit serving around 200 fresh meals per day.

- Monday to Friday only
- 6:30am - 2:30pm shifts
- 20 days holiday + Bank Holidays

The Role
As Sous Chef, you'll support the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen, helping to deliver high-quality fresh food to around 200 customers daily. You'll be involved in:
- Preparing and cooking fresh, nutritious meals
- Supporting menu planning and food presentation
- Supervising and motivating kitchen staff
- Maintaining high food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards
- Managing stock control, ordering, and reducing food waste
- Assisting with kitchen administration and compliance requirements
- Ensuring a smooth and efficient service every day
What We're Looking For
? Previous experience as a Sous Chef or strong Chef de Partie ready for the next step
? Passion for fresh food and quality service
? Strong organisational and team leadership skills
? Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
