to join a welcoming school catering team. About the Role We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Assistant to join a busy catering team within an educational setting. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation. Key Responsibilities Wash and clean crockery, cutlery, pots, pans, containers, and kitchen equipment. Maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen and dining environment. Set up and clear dining areas, tables, and service stations. Assist with basic food preparation, including sandwiches and fruit platters. Support catering operations during meetings, events, and functions. Work efficiently during busy service periods. Follow all Food Hygiene, Health & Safety, and safeguarding procedures. Requirements Essential Skills & Experience Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Positive attitude and willingness to learn. Flexible and adaptable approach to work. Good communication skills. Physically fit and capable of meeting the demands of a busy kitchen environment. Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. Desirable Previous experience in a catering, hospitality, or kitchen environment. Food Safety Level 2 Certificate.
