Front of House Assistant Location: Oxford Pay: £14.06 per hour Contract: Temporary / Flexible Working Hours: Flexible shifts depending on availability and client requirements Front of House Assistant Blue Arrow is recruiting Front of House Assistants to support a busy and professional catering and hospitality environment in Oxford. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people and providing excellent customer service. The role offers flexible temporary work , making it ideal if you're looking for shifts that can fit around other commitments. The Role As a Front of House Assistant, you will play an important part in delivering a friendly and professional service to customers. You will work across different catering and hospitality areas, which may include cafés, dining facilities, bars, functions and events. You'll help ensure service runs smoothly while maintaining excellent standards of presentation, cleanliness and customer care. Key Responsibilities Serve food and beverages to customers. Provide friendly, professional and efficient customer service. Assist with setting up and clearing dining and hospitality areas. Support counter service within cafés and dining areas. Help with hospitality functions, conferences and events when required. Ensure front of house areas remain clean, tidy and presentable. Assist the wider catering team during busy service periods. Use catering equipment safely and correctly. Follow Food Hygiene, Health & Safety and operational procedures. Help create a welcoming and positive experience for customers. About You We are looking for candidates who: Have previous experience within front of house, hospitality, catering or customer service . Have a friendly, professional and approachable manner. Enjoy working with people and delivering excellent customer service. Can work confidently both independently and as part of a team. Are reliable, punctual and well-presented. Can maintain high standards in a busy environment. Have good communication skills. Are comfortable being on their feet throughout a shift. Have good attention to detail and take pride in their work. Desirable Experience Previous experience within cafés, restaurants, hotels, bars, education or hospitality environments. Food Hygiene qualification. Experience supporting functions, events or conferences. Barista or bar service experience.
