Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and professional
Kitchen Manager / Chef Manager
to oversee the day-to-day running of a busy kitchen environment in Banbury.

The successful candidate will be responsible for kitchen operations, food preparation, menu planning and costing, compliance with food safety standards, and the supervision of kitchen staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality food services.

Key Responsibilities
Manage the overall operation of the kitchen, ensuring high standards of food quality and service.

Plan, prepare, and oversee the production of daily menus.

Carry out menu costing and ensure cost-effective use of resources.

Maintain strict food hygiene, health and safety, and allergen compliance standards.

Supervise, support, and motivate kitchen staff and food service teams.

Manage stock levels, conduct regular stocktakes, and place food and supply orders as required.

Complete all company documentation and kitchen bookwork accurately and on time.

Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and legislative requirements.

Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment at all times.

Communicate effectively with management, colleagues, and customers.

Essential Requirements
Previous experience in a Kitchen Manager, Chef Manager, or similar leadership role.

Strong kitchen management and people management skills.

Knowledge of menu planning, menu costing, food preparation, and food safety practices.

Allergen Awareness Training.

Excellent organisational and communication skills.

Enhanced Child Workforce DBS Certificate.

Valid Photo ID (must be brought to site on the first day of the booking).

Dress Code & Personal Presentation
Clean business suit required when attending site.

Non-slip safety shoes must be worn.

Hair must be tied back; beard nets must be worn where applicable.

Only wedding bands, sleeper earrings, and watches are permitted.

No false nails, false eyelashes, or visible facial/body piercings.

Uniform must not be worn when travelling to work and should be changed into on site.

Uniform must be kept clean, presentable, and in good condition.

All Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn and used correctly at all times.
