A leading independent school in Oxfordshire is seeking a proactive Catering Supervisor to join their established in-house catering team. This is a term-time plus role, offering the rare combination of a dynamic, rewarding environment with regular school holidays and predominantly daytime hours. Some evening work may be required for school events and functions, but this will be planned in advance.
The Role
As Catering Supervisor, you will support the Catering Manager in delivering an exceptional food service for students, staff, and visitors. You'll help ensure the smooth running of daily operations across the kitchen, dining areas, and school events.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supervising daily catering operations and front-of-house service
- Leading, motivating, and supporting a small catering team
- Maintaining excellent standards of food hygiene, safety, and presentation
- Assisting with menu delivery and occasional food preparation
- Managing stock levels, ordering supplies, and monitoring wastage
- Ensuring compliance with school policies and regulatory requirements
- Providing warm, professional customer service
- Supporting school events and functions, including occasional evening service
About You
