Are you passionate about creating inclusive, nurturing early-years environments where every child can thrive? A warm and well-established nursery in the North East Bristol area is looking for a dedicated SENCO to join their team and lead on high-quality support for children with additional needs.
About the Role
- Champion inclusive practice across the setting
- Identify and support children with SEND, ensuring early intervention
- Work closely with staff to develop individual support plans
- Build strong relationships with families, external agencies, and professionals
- Monitor progress, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with the SEND Code of Practice
- Provide training, guidance, and coaching to the wider team
About You
- Has experience working in an early-years setting
- Holds a relevant early-years qualification (Level 3 or above)
- Has completed, or is willing to complete, recognised SENCO training
- Understands the EYFS and SEND Code of Practice
- Is proactive, organised, and confident in working with children, families, and professionals
- Brings warmth, empathy, and a genuine commitment to inclusive education
