Are you passionate about creating inclusive, nurturing early-years environments where every child can thrive? A warm and well-established nursery in the North East Bristol area is looking for a dedicated SENCO to join their team and lead on high-quality support for children with additional needs.

About the Role

  • Champion inclusive practice across the setting
  • Identify and support children with SEND, ensuring early intervention
  • Work closely with staff to develop individual support plans
  • Build strong relationships with families, external agencies, and professionals
  • Monitor progress, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with the SEND Code of Practice
  • Provide training, guidance, and coaching to the wider team

About You

  • Has experience working in an early-years setting
  • Holds a relevant early-years qualification (Level 3 or above)
  • Has completed, or is willing to complete, recognised SENCO training
  • Understands the EYFS and SEND Code of Practice
  • Is proactive, organised, and confident in working with children, families, and professionals
  • Brings warmth, empathy, and a genuine commitment to inclusive education
