Blue Arrow Milton Keynes is currently recruiting an experienced Catering Manager / Chef Manager on a temporary, ongoing basis for an exciting on-site Farm Kitchen operation.

About the Role

You will be responsible for leading and managing the entire catering department within a vibrant Farm Kitchen environment, serving a family-friendly menu using fresh, seasonal and home-grown produce wherever possible. This is a hands-on leadership role, requiring a strong operational presence in both the kitchen and front-of-house.

Key Responsibilities

  • Hands-on cooking and overseeing daily food production and service delivery
  • Leading, motivating and managing the catering team
  • Rota planning and staff management
  • Ensuring full compliance with food hygiene, health & safety regulations
  • Menu planning and development in line with seasonal produce
  • Managing financial performance, including stock control and margins
  • Supporting and delivering on-site events
  • Acting as Duty Manager, taking overall charge of the site when required

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a Catering Manager or Chef Manager role
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills
  • Confident working in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment
  • Sound knowledge of food safety and health & safety compliance
  • Must be a driver due to location and operational needs
  • Flexible to work weekends initially (this may be reviewed following successful completion of probation)
