Blue Arrow Milton Keynes is currently recruiting an experienced Catering Manager / Chef Manager on a temporary, ongoing basis for an exciting on-site Farm Kitchen operation.
About the Role
You will be responsible for leading and managing the entire catering department within a vibrant Farm Kitchen environment, serving a family-friendly menu using fresh, seasonal and home-grown produce wherever possible. This is a hands-on leadership role, requiring a strong operational presence in both the kitchen and front-of-house.
Key Responsibilities
- Hands-on cooking and overseeing daily food production and service delivery
- Leading, motivating and managing the catering team
- Rota planning and staff management
- Ensuring full compliance with food hygiene, health & safety regulations
- Menu planning and development in line with seasonal produce
- Managing financial performance, including stock control and margins
- Supporting and delivering on-site events
- Acting as Duty Manager, taking overall charge of the site when required
Requirements
- Proven experience in a Catering Manager or Chef Manager role
- Strong leadership and organisational skills
- Confident working in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment
- Sound knowledge of food safety and health & safety compliance
- Must be a driver due to location and operational needs
- Flexible to work weekends initially (this may be reviewed following successful completion of probation)
