Support Delivery Driver - 3.5 ton - Temp to Perm - Eccles, Manchester. This is a 13 week temp to perm opportunity to join this well established independent furniture retail business based in Eccles, Manchester as a full time Delivery Mate / Backup Delivery Driver.
This is a hands-on role, and we are specifically looking for someone who already has experience handling and delivering furniture, mainly sofas and beds to customers' homes.
Role overview:
- Furniture deliveries (sofas, beds, large items) to customer's homes including assemblies and removals (all training provided)
- Working as part of a delivery crew
- Warehouse support: loading/unloading, stock movement
- Occasional in-store support moving furniture
- Customer-facing, so professionalism is essential
Key requirements:
- Proven experience handling furniture deliveries
- Physically fit and comfortable with heavy lifting
- Full UK driving licence essential. Over 25 for insurance purposes and max 6 points. No DR10 or IN10 endorsements.
- Reliable, punctual, and customer-focused
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm (no weekends)
Pay: Β£14 - Β£16 per hour depending on experience.
