Salary: £43,238.08 per annum

Contract type: Permanent

Location: Leyland - Post code PR26

Working hours: 37.5hrs - Monday to Friday 8am - 4pm

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Perform planned and reactive maintenance on processing assets, mechanical systems, and site infrastructure.
  • Use the centralised maintenance management system effectively.
  • Coordinate sub-contractor activities.
  • Provide maintenance and operational support as needed.
  • Monitor, record, and report on asset and infrastructure performance.
  • Assist with project-related activities.
  • Maintain and organise the engineering workshop and related areas.

Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance:

  • Follow company safety, health, environmental, and quality policies and procedures.
  • Keep work areas clean and organized.

Administrative Support:

  • Communicate effectively through handovers and shift logbooks.
  • Administer safe systems of work (PTW & LOTO procedures).
  • Use company business systems (CODA, SharePoint, EPRAIS, etc.) efficiently.
  • Attend scheduled business meetings and safety briefings.

Required Skills / Qualifications Required:

  • Recognised apprenticeship in relevant discipline (Mechanical Engineering) to ONC/HNC Level.
  • Ability to effectively manage work schedules in a timely manner.
  • Provide evidence of working to deadlines and under pressure.
  • Evidence of working in an organised manner.
  • Evidence of using effective problem-solving techniques.
  • Effective communicator at all levels both written and verbally.
  • Detailed knowledge of preventative, predictive and lifecycle maintenance activities.

Desirable Skills:

  • Knowledge of the Waste processing industry.
  • Detailed knowledge of waste processing plant, machinery and associated systems or FMCG Chemical and industrial industries.
  • Knowledge of working with CMMS software applications.
  • Knowledge of Siemens systems.
