We are currently recruiting Cooks to support Care homes across the Stockport area. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a caring and supportive environment where the quality and presentation of food play an important role in residents' daily lives. The Role Working within a care home setting, you will be responsible for preparing and serving meals using the Apetito catering system. The successful candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent attention to detail, and a genuine passion for ensuring every meal is served to a high standard. Key Responsibilities Regenerating and preparing meals using the Apetito food system Ensuring all meals are presented attractively and consistently Catering for residents' dietary requirements and preferences Maintaining high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness, and kitchen organisation Managing stock levels and rotating food correctly Following food safety procedures and company policies at all times Working closely with care home staff to provide an excellent dining experience for residents What We're Looking For Previous experience working as a Cook, Kitchen Assistant, Catering Assistant, or within a similar catering environment A positive attitude and strong work ethic A keen eye for detail, particularly when it comes to food presentation Good understanding of food hygiene and kitchen safety Ability to work independently and manage a busy kitchen environment Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate desirable Enhanced DBS preferred or willingness to obtain one What's On Offer Competitive pay rate of £14.50 - £15.50 per hour Stable 4-on, 4-off shift pattern Day shifts only, 8:00am - 6:00pm Weekly pay Ongoing opportunities with a respected care provider A rewarding role supporting residents and enhancing their dining experience Apply Today If you're a dependable Cook who understands the importance of food quality, presentation, and providing a great service within a care home environment, we'd love to hear from you.
