We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Workshop Technician to join our growing team. This position is ideal for a self-motivated professional who values precision, takes pride in their work, and is eager to develop within an innovative and forward-thinking organization. Full training will be provided to support your growth and success.
Key Responsibilities- Repair and refurbish printers used in the retail sector.
- Service and repair electronic devices, including barcode readers, POS (Point of Sale) systems, and chip-and-pin payment devices.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical assemblies and POS terminals.
- Disassemble, clean, repair or replace components, reassemble, calibrate, and test equipment.
- Manage spare parts inventory using our IT database system.
- Perform quality control testing to ensure compliance with company standards.
- Skilled in using small hand tools and soldering equipment, with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Previous experience in electro-mechanical repairs is advantageous.
- Reliable, self-motivated, and capable of working independently.
- Comfortable using manufacturer-specific calibration programs (training provided).
- Average 40 hours per week (Week 1: 42 hours; Week 2: 38 hours) with early finish every other Friday at 12:00.
- 20 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays.
