Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented School Cleaner with a valid PVG certificate to help maintain clean, safe, and welcoming learning environments across Edinburgh
.Job Opportunity: PVG School Cleaner – Edinburgh
Location: Various school sites across Edinburgh
Hours: 15 hours per week (morning or afternoon shifts)
Additional Hours: Up to 30 hours per week available if covering multiple locations
Pay Rate: 12.82 per hour
Contract Type: Part-time, temporary
Start Date: Immediate start available
Shift Options:
- Morning: 06:00 – 09:00
- Afternoon: 16:00 – 19:00
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean classrooms, corridors, toilets, and communal areas to a high standard
- Follow health and safety procedures and cleaning protocols
- Use cleaning equipment and materials safely and effectively
- Report any maintenance or safety issues
- Work independently or as part of a team across one or more school sites
Requirements:
- Valid PVG certificate (essential)
- Previous cleaning experience (preferred)
- Good attention to detail and time management
- Ability to work either morning or afternoon shifts
- Flexibility to cover additional hours or locations when needed
