Our client, a well-established operation based in Grangemouth, is looking for an experienced Traffic Planner to join their team in a fast-paced office environment. This is a key role within the operation, managing day-to-day transport planning while ensuring full compliance and excellent customer service.
The role
- Managing 10 vehicles operating from the site
- Planning and routing vehicles across Scotland
- Ensuring full compliance with O-Licence conditions, driver hours and transport regulations
- Scheduling driver routes, workforce planning and sickness management
- Monitoring and managing driver infringements
- Liaising daily with internal teams, customers and external suppliers
- Planning backloads where possible to maximise vehicle efficiency
- Delivering a first-class service to clients at all times
What we’re looking for
- Proven experience as a Traffic Planner / Transport Planner
- Strong knowledge of driver hours, compliance and O-Licence regulations
- Ability to work calmly and effectively in a busy office environment
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Flexible, proactive and customer-focused approach
Hours of work
- Monday to Friday, 8am start
- Flexibility is essential to meet operational demands
- This will include earlier start times (from 5:30am) when required
