Hours: Monday to Friday 15:45-19:45

Hourly Rate: 13.32 per hour

We are looking for dedicated, friendly, and reliable Catering Assistants to work in a busy hospital catering department. You will play an important role in supporting patient care by helping to prepare meals and delivering them safely and efficiently to wards.

Job Description

  • Willingness to undergo a PVG Disclosure Check as this role involves direct contact with patients. This is a background check that reveals whether an individual is barred from working with vulnerable groups.
  • Assist in the preparation of meals in line with dietary requirements and food safety standards.
  • Portion and plate meals accurately for patients.
  • Deliver food trolleys to wards and ensure meals reach patients on time.
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients, staff, and visitors.
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and organisation in all catering areas.
  • Operate equipment safely and follow all health & safety, infection control, and food hygiene regulations.
  • Support the wider catering team with general duties as required.
