Blue Arrow have an exciting opportunity for a Site Manager to join their busy team based in Aberdeen on a temporary basis. During this role you will be supervising the projects that are currently underway. You will also meet the demands of production, profitability, safety, quality and manage all sub-contractors to ensure that pre-set completion targets are met. The successful candidate will also promote a positive working relationship between the project team and the client representatives.
Duties will include:
- Liaise with the company's Project Quantity Surveyor. Manage customer, clients and design team.
- Develop Method Statements and Risk Assessments together with the Safety Plan and observe the requirement of the CDM Regulations in the status of Principle Contractor.
- Provide Leadership and support to Site Supervisors, management Trainees, and support staff.
- Source labour and maintain high productivity.
- Expedite materials and information release from the design team.
- Day to day planning of operations and problem solving.
- Check and correct time sheets and allocation sheets.
- Comply with the requirement of the company's Quality Procedure, Monitoring, Implementing & Recording.
- Attend meetings as required at the site and area offices.
- Prepare reports for site meetings with the design team.
- Report contractual risk situations to your manager.
- Supervise the quality of the work and hand over a snag free building.
- All other duties as assigned to effectively carry out your role.
Requirements:
- Previous supervisory experience in the construction industry.
- Effective communication skills.
- Health & Safety Awareness.
- Valid white or black CSCS card.
- SMSTS.
- First Aid at work.
- Healthcare/NHS experience.
