Recycling Operative

Location: Glenrothes / Kirkcaldy

Hours: 08:45 – 17:00

Shift Pattern: 9-day fortnight

• Week 1: Monday to Friday
• Week 2: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday (Wednesday off)

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for a Recycling Operator to join our team at a busy recycling centre in the Glenrothes/Kirkcaldy area. This is a hands-on, active role where you will play an important part in supporting sustainable waste management for the local community.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting members of the public with the safe disposal and sorting of waste materials
• Ensuring recyclable materials are handled correctly and efficiently
• Maintaining a clean, tidy, and safe working environment
• Providing excellent customer service and guidance on recycling procedures
• Supporting the overall operations of the recycling centre as required

What We\’re Looking For

• Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic
• Good communication skills with a friendly, helpful approach
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Comfortable with manual handling and physical work
• Previous waste/recycling experience beneficial but not essential
