Role: Healthcare Cleaning Supervisor
Blue Arrow team is currently recruiting an experienced Healthcare Cleaning Supervisor to join a leading facilities provider at Hull Royal Infirmary. This role supports the Domestic Manager in delivering a high quality, safe and hygienic environment for patients, staff and visitors.
You will lead, motivate and support domestic teams to ensure all cleaning services meet cleaning standards, contractual requirements and internal KPIs.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and support domestic staff to ensure consistent delivery of high cleaning standards
- Ensure work is carried out in line with NHS Cleaning Standards and contractual specifications
- Manage staffing levels, monitor attendance, oversee holiday/sickness records and authorise timesheets
- Carry out staff inductions, training, refresher training and job chats
- Perform quality checks, audits, safe site inspections
- Maintain safe working practices and ensure compliance with Health & Safety procedures
- Respond to Helpdesk tasks, complete washroom checks and ensure periodic cleaning schedules are followed
- Manage consumables, equipment and report any faults promptly
- Liaise daily with departmental leads to ensure excellent service delivery
- Uphold confidentiality, uniform standards and company policies at all times
- Essential: Strong organisational, leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage your own workload
- Customer focused attitude with a positive can-do approach
- IT literacy skills including email
- Basic DBS check will be required
- Desirable: NVQ Level 2 preferred but not essential
- Experience in housekeeping or a similar supervisory role
- Previous experience working within a hospital or service industry environment
- Knowledge of Health & Safety in a healthcare setting
- Weekday working
