About the Role
Blue Arrow is seeking a passionate and proactive Community Engagement Officer for their well established client based in Inverness. This role is central to ensuring that the voices of patients, carers, and local residents are heard and reflected in service planning and delivery.
You will work closely with teams across the Highlands, third-sector partners, and community groups to promote inclusive engagement, build trust, and support meaningful participation in health and well-being initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and deliver community engagement strategies aligned with their client\’s values and priorities.
Facilitate public consultations, focus groups, and outreach events across urban and rural communities.
Build and maintain relationships with community leaders, voluntary organisations, and service users.
Support the co-production of services by gathering feedback and ensuring community voices influence decision-making.
Create accessible communications and engagement materials tailored to diverse audiences.
Monitor and evaluate engagement activities, reporting on outcomes and impact.
Champion equality, diversity, and inclusion in all engagement work.
We\’re looking for someone who is:
A skilled communicator with experience in community development, public engagement, or health promotion.
Confident in working with diverse groups and navigating sensitive issues.
Organised, empathetic, and able to manage multiple projects independently.
Committed to reducing health inequalities and improving access to services.
Essential Criteria:
Degree or equivalent experience in community development, public health, communications, or a related field.
Proven experience in engagement or outreach roles.
Strong interpersonal and facilitation skills.
Ability to travel across the Highland region as required.
