We are seeking HGV Drivers to support with refuse collections for our client in Stowmarket, IP14.

HGV Refuse Collections Driver £16.59 per hour (PAYE) Temporary on-going. Induction to be arranged for suitable candidates.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Carry out refuse and recycling collections daily, with skills and knowledge of all machinery aspects of the job.
  • Undertake all duties in a professional manner deploying safe lifting and handling techniques appropriate to articles left for removal.
  • Use in-cab technology and mobile devices as directed.
  • Complete relevant paperwork in real time.
  • Carry out daily inspections and reporting for machinery and vehicles, before and after use.
  • Ensure the cleanliness of machinery and vehicles.
  • Maintain excellent customer and client relations, particularly with members of the public and other motor users.

Working Hours: 6.30am to 3.00pm, Monday - Friday

What you'll need to succeed:

  • Valid HGV Class 2 driving licence (with no more than 6 points)
  • Driver CPC
  • Willingness to help refuse loaders while on your rounds to enable your team to complete the route within the service level agreement
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Clean driver’s licence desirable for all staff
