Blue Arrow Derby is proud to be working in partnership with an excellent manufacturing company, and they are looking to recruit a candidate to join their team on a full-time permanent basis based at their Denby site.
Hours: 40 hours per week - office based
What duties are involved in the role?
- Contribute to the implementation, optimisation, and continuous improvement of transport management systems by acting as a key user and trusted partner for operational teams.
- Support transport and warehousing activities to ensure reliable daily operations and maintain high service standards across the logistics network.
- Develop and maintain KPI dashboards, reports, and performance templates using Excel and Power BI, enabling transparency and data-driven decisions.
- Prepare business cases, cost analyses, and improvement initiatives that support both operational excellence and strategic development after analysing operational data.
- Create presentations, performance reports, and insights that guide decision-making and highlight opportunities for optimisation in close collaboration with management.
- Ensure smooth execution of processes and contribute to logistics-related projects and transformation initiatives together with internal stakeholders and external logistics partners.
What will you bring to the role?
- A degree or comparable qualification in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
- Practical experience in transport and logistics.
- Strong analytical capabilities, advanced Excel skills (including Power Query and Pivot Tables), and solid experience with Power BI for reporting and data modelling.
- Experience in system implementation, key user roles, or involvement in logistics improvement projects would further enhance your contribution.
- A structured, curious, and solution-oriented approach to complex challenges, with the ability to communicate insights clearly and confidently.
- Ability to work independently with a high level of responsibility and engage positively with cross-functional teams to achieve shared goals.
