Key responsibilities:
- Supervise pupils: Oversee children in the dining hall and on the playground, ensuring they are safe and behave appropriately.
- Assist students: Help younger children with tasks like cutting up food or opening packaging.
- Handle first aid: Deal with minor injuries like bumps, cuts, and grazes, and get appropriate help for more serious issues.
- Set up and clean: Prepare the dining area by setting out tables and chairs and help with clearing away and cleaning up spillages afterward.
- Ensure safety: Monitor the playground for safety, prevent children from leaving school grounds, and report any concerns about child protection.
Requirements:
- Must hold an enhanced DBS disclosure dated within the last 12 months or on the update service
- Able to commit on an ongoing basis
- Holds safeguarding training
- Previous experience working as a lunchtime supervisor or in a school support position
