Temp - Reception/Admin position (Maternity Cover)
Starting May - end of December 2026 (possibly until February)
Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm with 30 minute lunch break
Pay - £13.45 per hour
Location - Dumfries and Galloway
Our client based in Dumfries and Galloway are looking for someone to join their team on a temp basis to cover maternity leave. This position would be starting 18th May and will be until end of December 2026 but there's a good chance it will extend until February 2027 but that will be confirmed nearer the time.
You will be the first point of contact for the business and will be sitting at their reception desk along with a colleague. The reception desk can be quite busy at times and their office is fast paced and very reactive so please only apply for this role if you are used to working in a fast paced reception/admin office.
- Meeting and greeting customers who have appointments
- Announcing guest's arrivals to the correct person
- Answering phone calls and transferring
- Daily admin duties
- Working with MS Word and Excel
- Recording data
- Placing online orders
- Helping colleagues with any other requirements
Skills needed:
- Previous reception experience
- Admin experience in a fast-paced environment
- Word and Excel skills
