Exciting opportunity with our client in St Austell!

Our client is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Ganger and Operative to join their utilities team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in daily operations in digging for electric and ensuring all sites are dug safely and effectively. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Reading and understanding maps.
  • Being able to operate a digger/support the ganger.
  • Have Street works tickets to be able to work safely on the highways.
  • Understand how to set up a site safely for the public and vulnerable pedestrians.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a utilities role is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively within a team.
  • Local knowledge of the area.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as required.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving with a willingness to learn new skills.

This is a full-time role. Pay rates from £13-£17.
