Blue Arrow is recruiting for an experienced Chef / Caterer to assist with our client in Falkirk.
We are seeking a candidate for an immediate start, interviews being held ASAP.
Job Description:
To prepare and cook a range of hot and cold nutritious meals to a diverse customer base, including breakfast, lunch and evening meals when required.
This role is shift based shift hours are between 6am and 7.00pm. There may also be a requirement for occasional evening/ weekend work.
Key Responsibilities of the Role
- To support and assist the Catering Manager (deputising where required) in the delivery of the catering provision
- Monitor service delivery at meal times to ensure that standards and procedures are consistently maintained
- Supervise and engage with the catering assistants and prisoner placements
- Ensure that all work is carried out in compliance with current legislative practice and in conjunction with the Food Safety Scotland guidelines
- Completion of all routine administration and communications relevant to local and national requirements (weekly checks, food safety checks etc.)
- Monitor food waste and manage stock levels advising the Catering Manager when stock is coming to its end of shelf life or needs to be replenished assist in the planning of menus, stock ordering and catering to meet the dietary needs of all college users
Pay Rate: £15.69 per hour
Hours: 35-37.5 hours per week (Full time)
This contract will be ongoing for at least a few weeks with possibility of long-term extension for the right candidate.
