The Role:
We have an amazing opportunity for a talented professional and passionate Chef to join a busy Hotel in Hastings. You will be supporting the head chef with leading a passionate kitchen team, creating fresh and innovative dishes, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and presentation.
The main duties include:
- Help organise and lead the busy catering team, ensuring a successful and efficient service is provided.
- Assist in creating innovative, seasonal menus.
- Prepare and present food to the highest standard and quality.
- Maintain portion control and minimise waste to support financial goals.
- Assist with the ordering of stock.
- Ensure all legislation and procedures are adhered to.
What exactly are we looking for?
- Food Safety Level 2 or 3 certification.
- Proven experience as a Senior Sous Chef or in a similar role within a busy kitchen environment, preferably in a hotel or restaurant setting.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, culinary trends, and kitchen equipment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent organisational and multitasking skills, with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Creative flair with a passion for delivering high-quality and innovative dishes.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
