Do you have experience working in a care home catering environment? If so, we would like to hear from you! Blue Arrow are recruiting chefs of all levels to join our team.

Locations: Eastbourne, Hastings and surrounding areas within East Sussex.

Pay rates: from £16ph to £21 per hour depending on job role and requirements. A valid enhanced level DBS certificate is required. Own transport would be desirable. Various shift times, full time, part time and casual shifts available.

Duties to include:

  • Help organise and control the busy catering operation ensuring a successful and efficient service is provided.
  • Prepare and present food to the highest quality.
  • Assist with the ordering of stock.
  • Comply with Health and Safety regulations.
  • Ensure all legislation and procedures are adhered to.
  • Chefs MUST have knowledge & understanding of IDDSI: International Dysphagia Diet Standardisation Initiative (IDDSI) is a global standard with terminology and definitions to describe texture modified foods and thickened liquids used for individuals with dysphagia of all ages, in all care settings, and for all cultures.

Requirements:

  • Willingness to cover shifts at short notice
  • Enhanced level DBS check - Adult workforce
  • Minimum level 2 Food hygiene certificate
  • Knowledge and understanding of IDDSI
  • Ability to follow Health & Safety policies
  • Manual Handling and COSHH
