Blue Arrow are looking for reliable chefs to join our kitchen workforce and support our clients with covering temporary shifts. This role is ideal for experienced temps who can step into service confidently and help deliver great food and smooth kitchen operations during busy periods or short-term cover.
Locations: Brighton, Eastbourne, Hastings and surrounding areas within East Sussex.
Pay rates: £16ph to £22.50 per hour depending on role and requirements.
A valid DBS certificate would be required for some sites but not always essential. Own transport would be desirable. Various shift times, full time, part time and casual shifts available.

Job role:
- Preparing, cooking, and presenting dishes in line with recipes and service standards.
- Supporting service by maintaining quality, consistency, and pace during busy shifts.
- Keeping food preparation areas clean, organised, and fully stocked.
- Adhering to food safety, hygiene, and health & safety procedures at all times.
- Working collaboratively with the on-site kitchen team to ensure excellent experiences.
What We're Looking For:
- Previous professional kitchen experience (restaurant, hotel, contract catering, care homes, schools or similar).
- Ability to adapt quickly to new menus, systems, and teams.
- A current level 2 Food Safety certificate.
- A professional, dependable approach with good communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to cover varying shifts as required sometimes at short notice.
