Blue Arrow Derby are looking for a reliable, enthusiastic and hands-on Caretaker to join a fantastic school in Nottingham! If you're someone who takes pride in keeping things running smoothly, loves variety and is ready to get stuck in, we want to hear from you!
What you'll be doing:
- General site maintenance, minor repairs and basic DIY
- Opening and locking the site daily
- Cleaning classrooms, dining areas, changing rooms and hallways to a high standard
- Litter picking and keeping outdoor areas tidy (grassed and artificial)
- Setting up and putting away furniture for lessons and events
- Recording deliveries and maintaining stock levels of supplies
- Fire warden duties including evacuating vulnerable individuals when needed
- Supporting lunchtime service and helping to clean up afterwards
- Assisting external contractors and managing maintenance works
- Carrying out compliance checks and logging findings
What we're looking for:
- Previous caretaker, janitor, handyperson or site supervisor experience is helpful (but not essential)
- Enhanced Child DBS dated within the last 12 months (or willingness to obtain - we can help!)
- Able to lift and carry furniture and equipment
- Confident communicator with a can-do attitude
- Able to work independently and manage your time effectively
- Familiar with cleaning products, equipment and safe practices
