About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced
Chef Manager to lead the catering service within our friendly residential care home in Lutterworth, supporting
24 residents with nutritious, high-quality meals every day.
This is an excellent opportunity for a chef who is passionate about food, enjoys building relationships with residents, and is seeking a fantastic work-life balance with no evening or weekend work .
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and prepare nutritious, well-balanced meals for residents.
- Cater for individual dietary requirements, allergies, and special nutritional needs.
- Manage food ordering, stock control, and kitchen budgets.
- Ensure compliance with food hygiene, health and safety, and care home regulations.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the kitchen.
- Lead and organise the day-to-day running of the kitchen.
- Build positive relationships with residents and staff, ensuring meal times are enjoyable and person-centred.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience as a Chef Manager, Head Chef, or similar catering leadership role.
Care home, healthcare, or residential setting experience is essential.
- Good knowledge of nutrition, dietary requirements, and texture-modified meals.
- Food Hygiene Level 2 or 3 qualification.
- Strong organisational and stock management skills.
- A caring, compassionate, and resident-focused approach.
- Reliability and the ability to work independently.
