We are currently seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver for ad hoc assignments delivering mobility equipment to customers.
Requirements
- Must be 25 years of age or over
- Hold a full UK driving licence
- Have a current DBS check
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Physically fit and capable of regular heavy lifting and manual handling
- Previous delivery or warehouse experience preferred
Key Responsibilities
- Packing, loading and unloading delivery vans and trucks
- Delivering mobility equipment to customers on designated routes
- Safely lifting, carrying and manoeuvring heavy mobility equipment, including beds, chairs, scooters and other healthcare products
- Assisting with the installation and positioning of equipment at customer locations where required
- Maintaining regular communication with route dispatchers
- Reviewing deliveries with customers to ensure accuracy
- Obtaining delivery confirmations from recipients
- Cleaning and servicing the delivery van ready for the next assignment
- Daily reporting and inputting of delivery metrics into store systems
- Assisting within the warehouse and backdoor operations as required
- Adhering to all health and safety procedures, including safe manual handling practices
