Location: Lutterworth, Leicestershire

Salary: £22,000 per annum

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 2:00 pm (27.5 hours per week)

About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Chef Manager to lead the catering service within our friendly residential care home in Lutterworth, supporting 24 residents with nutritious, high-quality meals every day. This is an excellent opportunity for a chef who is passionate about food, enjoys building relationships with residents, and is seeking a fantastic work-life balance with no evening or weekend work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and prepare nutritious, well-balanced meals for residents.
  • Cater for individual dietary requirements, allergies, and special nutritional needs.
  • Manage food ordering, stock control, and kitchen budgets.
  • Ensure compliance with food hygiene, health and safety, and care home regulations.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the kitchen.
  • Lead and organise the day-to-day running of the kitchen.
  • Build positive relationships with residents and staff, ensuring meal times are enjoyable and person-centred.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience as a Chef Manager, Head Chef, or similar catering leadership role.
  • Care home, healthcare, or residential setting experience is essential.
  • Good knowledge of nutrition, dietary requirements, and texture-modified meals.
  • Food Hygiene Level 2 or 3 qualification.
  • Strong organisational and stock management skills.
  • A caring, compassionate, and resident-focused approach.
  • Reliability and the ability to work independently.
