We are currently recruiting for a Food Service Assistant to join a friendly school in Worthing, working on a term-time only basis -perfect for those seeking a great work-life balance.
The Role
As a Food Service Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the smooth running of the school kitchen and dining service. Duties include:
- Assisting with basic food preparation
- Serving meals to students and staff
- Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen and dining areas
- Washing up and general kitchen duties
- Providing a friendly and efficient service at all times
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday
- School hours (typically between 10:00am - 2:00pm)
- Term time only (no weekends or school holidays)
Requirements
- Enhanced DBS check (essential - or willingness to obtain one)
- Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate
- Previous catering or food service experience preferred
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
