Are you an experienced Chef looking for flexible work in a rewarding environment? We are currently recruiting Care Home Chefs to support care homes in and around Uckfield on behalf of a leading recruitment agency.

The Role

As a Care Home Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and serving nutritious, high-quality meals that meet residents' dietary requirements and preferences. You will ensure the kitchen operates efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of food hygiene and safety.

Responsibilities

Preparing fresh, nutritious meals for residents.
Catering for special dietary requirements and allergies.
Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness.
Managing food stock and reducing waste.
Working independently or as part of the kitchen team.
Adhering to all health and safety regulations.

Requirements

Previous experience as a Chef, Cook, or Kitchen Manager.
Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (preferred).
Knowledge of dietary requirements within a care setting.
Ability to work under pressure and manage a busy kitchen.
Excellent organisational skills.
Enhanced DBS certificate required (or willingness to obtain one).
