Blue Arrow are recruiting Class 2 drivers to work for a general haulage company based in Gloucester. The roles are ongoing full-time working Monday to Friday - no weekend work will be involved. The start times for the roles will be 7am and you will be completing around 50 hours per week on average. The pay rate is £16.00 per hour. For the right candidates, there will be opportunities to get a permanent contract after being employed by Blue Arrow for the first 12 weeks.
The roles will involve delivering a wide range of products to businesses and completing up to 15 drops/collections per shift. As a Class 2 delivery driver, your duties will include:
- Driving curtain sider lorries and completing up to 15 deliveries/collections daily
- Strapping the load
- Offloading goods as and when required
- Completing relevant paperwork
- Using PODs
- Providing excellent customer service
Candidate requirements:
- Ideally at least 1 year experience in a Class 2 or 7.5T driving role
- Category C driving licence, up to date CPC and Digi Tacho cards
- ADR licence would be advantageous
- No more than 6 points on your driving licence and only for minor offences
- Physical fitness
- Reliability and trustworthiness
- Good customer service skills
- Good level of spoken English
