School Caretaker/Site Assistant to work within a school in Willenhall, required immediately.
As a caretaker/site assistant you will be responsible for:
- Unlocking and locking up the school site as well as individual departments
- Keeping the school grounds maintained and tidied
- General maintenance, DIY - fixing and putting furniture together, painting
- Assisting with any school deliveries
- Overlooking the school's health and safety, carrying out fire drills/tests
- Checking fire extinguishers and other health and safety aspects of the school
- Liaising with contractors and escorting them around the site
- Setting up classrooms and halls for assemblies and parents' evenings
- Gardening and outdoor site maintenance - lawn mowing, using a strimmer, weeding, litter picking
- General cleaning
Requirements:
- Previous experience working as a school caretaker
- Must hold an enhanced DBS disclosure issued within the last 12 months or on the update service

- Must be reliable
- Excellent timekeeping
Hours: Monday to Friday 6am-2pm or 11.30am-6pm
