Chefs - DBS required

Blue Arrow are recruiting for experienced chefs to work with our clients across multiple sites in the Birmingham and Wolverhampton area. Working predominantly in the education sector, your main duties will include: – Cook and prepare high quality dishes to set menu spec – Supervise all kitchen stations – Maintain a safe and hygienic kitchen environments – Assist the Head Chef to create menu items, recipes and develop dishes – Be responsible for health and safety – Be responsible for food hygiene practices. – Maintain a safe and hygienic kitchen environment at all times – Ensure food quality and excellent standards are maintained for all dishes created – Assist with determining food inventory needs, stocking and ordering – Complete daily and weekly records including temperature checks. Skills required: – Good knowledge of all sections – Strong ability to produce good quality food and first-rate culinary skills – A flair, passion and a love of ingredients – Strong organisational skills – An ability to work unsupervised and consistently deliver quality work – Experience of a variety of kitchen environments and cuisines – Good knowledge of Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) – Knowledge of food production methods – Good maths/numeracy skills – Effective oral communication with all members of the team Qualifications: – Minimum food hygiene level 2 or above dated within the last 3 years – Clear enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months or be willing to undertake one prior to work commencing. – Minimum 12 months experience in a similar role is essential – Own transport preferred but not essential Competitive rates of pay Weekly pay Click APPLY to submit your CV Blue Arrow is proud to be a Disability Confident Employer and is committed to helping find great work opportunities for great people.
