Key responsibilities: Assist with the preparation and serving of meals, snacks, and beverages for residents.
Ensure meals are presented attractively and served in a timely manner.
Support residents during mealtimes in a respectful and caring manner when required.
Maintain high standards of food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness at all times.
Wash dishes, utensils, kitchen equipment, and dining areas following service.
Assist with receiving, checking, and storing food deliveries.
Follow food safety procedures, including temperature checks and stock rotation.
Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, Food Hygiene, and Care Home policies.
Help cater for special dietary requirements, allergies, and cultural preferences.
Report any concerns regarding food quality, equipment faults, or resident wellbeing to the appropriate manager.
Work collaboratively with care staff and other departments to provide an excellent resident experience.
Requirements: Previous experience working as a catering assistant Previous experience working in a care home setting, desirable Enhanced ADULT DBS disclosure Food Hygiene level 2 training and allergen training Monday to Friday 7.30am-4.30pm, ongoing work Pay rate: £12.71 per hour Weekly pay!
