Role Description
The Tutor role at Blue Apple Training is a full-time, on-site position based in West Yorkshire. The Tutor will deliver structured training sessions to groups and individual learners, using engaging and accessible teaching methods. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning lessons, preparing learning materials, assessing learner progress, and providing constructive feedback and support. The Tutor will maintain accurate learner records, align training with program and employer requirements, and contribute to a positive, inclusive classroom environment. The role also involves collaborating with colleagues and partner organizations to ensure high-quality training outcomes and strong learner progression into employment or further study.
Qualifications
- Strong instructional and classroom management skills, with the ability to create engaging, learner-centered sessions.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and mentoring abilities, with a focus on motivating and supporting diverse learners.
- Organizational and time-management skills to plan lessons, track learner progress, and meet program deadlines.
- Competence in basic digital tools (e.g., email, learning platforms, presentation software) for delivering and recording training.
- Experience in vocational training, adult education, or work-based learning is highly beneficial.
- Recognized teaching or training qualification (e.g., PTLLS, DTLLS, PGCE, or equivalent) is desirable.
- Knowledge of safeguarding, equality, diversity, and inclusion principles within an educational environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and external partners to support learner progression into employment.
