The predicted salary is between 43200 - 72000 £ per year.

We have a temporary contract available for a Senior Maintenance Surveyor working with a UK wide Housing Group. The position is based in Durham and is a hybrid role; with a mix of office, home, and on-site work across the North East.

You will provide predictable, reliable and consistent outcomes to all customers, colleagues and stakeholders in the delivery of your work and through effective management of your team of Maintenance Surveyors. Supporting the management of contractors within your area of operation, you are responsible for contractor performance to agreed standards and resolving issues or disputes arising from contractual works. You’ll provide technical expertise and drive quality through surveying that enables the organisation to meet their standards for repairs and deliver on their customer promises.

You will need:

  • A degree or equivalent experience in building surveying (RICS or CIOB preferred) plus relevant Health and Safety qualification and knowledge of building safety and compliance.
  • Experience managing surveying teams in housing or construction.
  • Strong knowledge of housing legislation, compliance and CDM.
  • A coaching mindset and passion for developing others.
  • The ability to juggle tasks, meet deadlines and stay calm under pressure, delivering work commercially, on time, and within budget.
  • A keen eye for detail and a drive to make things better.
