A new in-house opportunity has arisen with this global brand. The role is responsible for ensuring compliant import, export and sanctions operations in line with UK and EU regulatory frameworks. They are seeking a technical specialist to be the subject matter expert for customs and export controls and this will include:
- Developing, implementing and enhancing a risk-based compliance framework
- Overseeing end-to-end customs compliance for imports and exports, including product classification (HS/commodity codes and dual-use/ECCN), origin determination and declarations, customs valuation, special procedures
- Managing export control reviews, jurisdiction and control classification, technology and software controls, and deemed export assessments
To apply you will need in-depth knowledge in customs and trade compliance, export controls, and sanctions within the UK and EU. You will also need deep knowledge of the Union Customs Code, UK customs legislation, UK Export Control Order and ECJU practice, EU Dual-Use Regulation, and UK/EU sanctions frameworks.
