A great role with this global logistics company. Working as part of a newly created customs implementation team you role will be to support the end-to-end implementation process, to help deliver to clients high-quality and compliant customs operational projects from initial concept to final delivery and evaluation. A large part of your role will be customer-facing as well as involving a high level of interaction with internal stakeholders in the business. You will be responsible for coordinating between internal and external stakeholders and ensuring compliance and operational responsibilities are met. Specifically this will include ensuring all contract terms align with local and national trade laws, industry rules, and internal company policies.
To apply you will preferably have a background working in a logistics business, professional services advisory firm or customs brokerage business and a blend of customs technical experience and legal/contract drafting experience is essential. You will also need:
- A great understanding of Regulatory & Legal Frameworks for multiple countries,
- A comprehensive understanding of national and international customs legislation, taxes, and non-tariff controls.
- Some experience in identifying non-compliance risks, managing audits, and utilizing special customs procedures, FTZ.
- Some familiarity with customs management software, Electronic Data Interchange (EDI), APIs and government customs portals.
