A new role has arisen to join a well established Customs and Trade team with a premier manufacturing business. Your focus will be on consulting and you will be responsible for ensuring that the company retains and complies with UK customs authorisations including Inward Processing, Outward Processing, Customs Warehousing and UKIMS.
Ensuring that the company maintains correct control classifications, tariff codes and non-preference country of origin data in the company ERP system, including validation of information provided by suppliers, ensuring that supporting documentation is available for audit purposes will also form part of your brief.
You will be the point of contact to third parties, including HMRC, on all customs and compliance audits.
To apply for the role you will need a solid track record of working in an international customs role and familiarity with customs authorisations, including Inward Processing and Outward Processing. An understanding of national and international export controls will also be key. Experience of working in a manufacturing company and knowledge of SAP or another ERP system will be beneficial.
