A leading aerospace and engineering organisation is seeking an experienced Head of Export Compliance to join its Trade Compliance team.
This senior role is responsible for ensuring compliance with UK export control legislation, international trade regulations, and internal compliance standards across a specialist business division.
Reporting to the Head of Trade Compliance for the group you will execute central UK export compliance strategy, leads business partnering within the division, manage escalated queries from the trade compliance function, act as point of contact for new products and contracts and ensure export activities adhere to UK export & customs regulations, other countries regulations where applicable (ITAR/BAFA/EAR) and internal policies.
To apply you will need in-depth and detailed knowledge of UK Customs and Export Control laws and regulations and detailed knowledge of US ITAR & EAR regulations.
You will also need the ability to make independent decisions, demonstrating good problem solving, and have good negotiating and influencing/mediating skills.
The role requires a hybrid presence at their Somerset offices on a three day a week basis.
