At Blossom Years Children’s Day Nursery and Forest School, we are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Years Practitioner for Babies to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a key part in creating a safe, stimulating, and supportive environment for our youngest learners, helping them develop critical skills during their most formative years. We follow the revolutionary ‘Curiosity Approach’ Pedagogy to promote awe and wonder in early childhood. By placing an emphasis on curiosity, creativity, and holistic development, we create truly wondrous and highly impactful experiences for our children.
What you’ll be doing:
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment where babies feel secure and loved, supporting their emotional well-being.
- Observe and track developmental milestones, ensuring each baby’s individual needs are met with care and attention.
- Plan and deliver engaging activities that promote sensory exploration, communication, and cognitive development for babies, from tummy time to first steps.
- Work closely with parents and caregivers, offering regular updates and insights into their baby’s progress.
- Collaborate with the team to create innovative learning environments that spark curiosity and excitement in our little ones.
- Support babies’ social and emotional development, helping them build relationships and communicate their needs.
- Ensure high standards of care, safety, and hygiene, meeting all regulatory requirements.
What we’re looking for:
- A genuine passion for working with babies and a commitment to their early years’ development.
- Previous experience in early years education or childcare (desirable, but not essential).
- Knowledge of early childhood development and a strong understanding of how babies learn through play.
- A nurturing, patient, and compassionate approach.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with babies, parents, and the team.
- A Level 2 or 3 qualification in Childcare/Early Years (or a willingness to work towards it).
