At Blossom Tree Montessori, we are recruiting for a Montessori Lead to join our warm and friendly team. This role is full time, working 40 hours per week – working a variety of shifts between the hours of 7:30am-6pm. A little about Blossom Tree Montessori: We first opened our Northwood branch in July 2018 and have expanded the nursery twice since opening. We opened our second branch in Eastcote in June 2023. We are really passionate about the Montessori ethos and we provide in house training as well as supporting staff to complete courses to further their knowledge. There is plenty of room for career progression and we are very focused on upskilling our staff team. We use a nursery app called ‘Blossom Educational’ which is our sister company! It’s incredibly user friendly and helps us to be efficient and organised. Becoming familiarised with the nursery's policies and procedures and supporting staff to follow these. Leading a team, encouraging and raising practice daily. Delegating tasks to your team to ensure the smooth running of the room. Leading, embedding, and evolving the Montessori curriculum across all age groups. Coaching, mentoring, and inspiring our team of educators to deliver authentic Montessori practice. Drive the consistent implementation of the Montessori approach throughout the nursery. Forming professional and friendly partnerships with parents and forming secure relationships with the children. Working as part of the Senior Management team to contribute to staff performance management and appraisals. Leading staff meetings in the absence of the manager. Supporting the manager in daily running of the nursery. Managing and overseeing the daily running of the nursery in the absence of the manager. Acting as a role model for excellence in early years education, ensuring that our setting reflects the highest standards of care, education, and compliance. Conducting peer observations and management spot checks. Focusing on the quality of interaction and the high levels of practice. Mentoring and training Room Leaders. Using our nursery app "Blossom Educational" - training will be provided. What we would ask from you: A Montessori Diploma is essential for the role. Previous experience of working in a leadership role is essential. Having good ICT skills is essential. Being a positive role model to your team. Effectively lead and manage the staff team in the classrooms. An extensive knowledge of the current EYFS, Ofsted and welfare requirements. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. To be passionate, motivated, have the ability to work well within a team and be able to adapt to a fun and inspiring way of working. We take safeguarding very seriously and a current and clean Disclosure Barring Services (DBS) Certificate is essential
